Ingredients
- 0.5 kg beef sirloin (thinly sliced)
- 0.03 kg butter
- 0.01 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 0.25 kg mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 0.03 kg all-purpose flour
- 0.47 L beef broth
- 0.18 L sour cream
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips.
- Melt the butter and olive oil together in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent—around 5 minutes.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Throw in the sliced beef, season with salt and black pepper, and cook until browned (4-5 minutes).
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for a minute.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Gradually stir in the beef broth, cooking until thickened (about 5 minutes).
- Reduce the heat, stir in sour cream and Worcestershire sauce until combined.
- Adjust seasoning as needed before serving over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
Avoid skimping on salt and remember to slice the beef thinly to ensure tenderness.
