A classic Beef Stroganoff that is quick, easy, and packed with flavor, perfect for impressing friends or enjoying a cozy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef steak strips
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until they are soft, about 5 minutes.
- Crank up the heat and toss in the beef strips. Cook until browned.
- Sprinkle the flour over the beef and mix well, then slowly stir in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream. Cook until heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the mixture over egg noodles or rice.
