Description

A quick and easy Beef Stroganoff recipe that delivers tender beef in a creamy sauce, perfect for serving over noodles or rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into strips
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned, then set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add onion, mushrooms, and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and cook for 1 minute to thicken.
  4. Gradually pour in beef broth, stirring until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add Worcestershire sauce and sour cream, stirring to combine.
  6. Return beef to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Let everything simmer for about 5 minutes until heated through.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

Notes

For variations, substitute beef with chicken or tofu. Greek yogurt can replace sour cream for a healthier version.
