A comforting Beef Stroganoff recipe that’s easy to make and offers a creamy, savory flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup homemade condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles for serving
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, add the sliced beef, chopped onion, sliced mushrooms, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Give everything a good stir to combine all ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the sour cream and homemade condensed cream of mushroom soup.
- Allow it to heat through and thicken.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Feel free to substitute beef with chicken or mushrooms for a vegetarian version. Use yogurt instead of sour cream if preferred.
