Description

A comforting Beef Stroganoff recipe that’s easy to make and offers a creamy, savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup homemade condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked egg noodles for serving
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, add the sliced beef, chopped onion, sliced mushrooms, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Give everything a good stir to combine all ingredients.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the sour cream and homemade condensed cream of mushroom soup.
  5. Allow it to heat through and thicken.
  6. Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Feel free to substitute beef with chicken or mushrooms for a vegetarian version. Use yogurt instead of sour cream if preferred.
