Description

A creamy and delicious Beef Stroganoff recipe that’s perfect for a quick and comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or tenderloin)
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until soft.
  5. Cut beef into strips and add to the skillet; cook until browned.
  6. Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir well.
  7. Slowly add beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  8. Stir in sour cream and heat through, do not boil.
  9. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Serve over egg noodles, garnished with parsley.

Notes

For best results, do not boil sour cream and feel free to substitute ingredients as needed.
