A creamy and delicious Beef Stroganoff recipe that’s perfect for a quick and comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef (sirloin or tenderloin)
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until soft.
- Cut beef into strips and add to the skillet; cook until browned.
- Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir well.
- Slowly add beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in sour cream and heat through, do not boil.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve over egg noodles, garnished with parsley.
Notes
For best results, do not boil sour cream and feel free to substitute ingredients as needed.
