Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream until smooth.
- Return the beef to the skillet and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

For a richer flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like parsley or thyme.
