Description

A creamy and savory beef stroganoff that’s quick and easy to prepare, perfect for impressing friends or a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until softened.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream until smooth.
  7. Return the beef to the skillet and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
