Description

A cozy and creamy Beef Stroganoff recipe that is simple and satisfying, perfect for a quick meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear the beef sirloin until browned on all sides for about 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine, then gradually add beef broth while stirring until smooth. Simmer gently until thickened.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and smoked paprika until creamy.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
