Description

A rich and creamy beef stroganoff that combines tender beef, earthy mushrooms, and zingy sour cream for a comforting yet elevated meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or mashed potatoes for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic. Sauté until soft.
  3. Toss in the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Slowly add the beef broth while stirring until the mixture thickens.
  6. Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream.
  7. Return the beef to the skillet and combine everything well.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes, garnished with parsley if desired.
