A rich and creamy beef stroganoff that combines tender beef, earthy mushrooms, and zingy sour cream for a comforting yet elevated meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or mashed potatoes for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic. Sauté until soft.
- Toss in the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Slowly add the beef broth while stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream.
- Return the beef to the skillet and combine everything well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes, garnished with parsley if desired.
