Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or rice for serving
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, sautéing until onions are translucent.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream. Return the beef to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper. Taste and adjust as needed.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice, and garnish with parsley if desired.

For faster preparation, slice beef thin and use quality beef broth for the best flavor.
