A delightful dish featuring juicy chicken, crispy bacon, rich cheese, and a sweet-tangy honey mustard glaze.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix honey and Dijon mustard together.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, brown the chicken breasts on both sides.
- Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish, and pour the honey mustard mixture over the top.
- Layer with cooked bacon, shredded cheese, and mushrooms if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
