A quick and satisfying breakfast featuring gooey cheese and perfectly cooked eggs on thick, toasty bread, made effortlessly in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 slices thick bread (sourdough or sandwich)
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- Butter (for spreading)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Press down in the center of each slice to create a well.
- Crack an egg into each well.
- Add shredded cheese around the edges of the eggs.
- Place the bread into the air fryer basket and cook for 6-8 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.
Notes
For variations, try adding jalapeños or fresh herbs for an extra kick of flavor.
