Description
A deliciously simple treat of caramelized bananas with a sprinkle of cinnamon, perfect for a healthy dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 medium-sized ripe bananas
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or melted butter)
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and cut them into even, thin slices, about 3 mm thick.
- In a small bowl, combine the sugar and ground cinnamon and mix thoroughly.
- Brush both sides of the banana slices with coconut oil or melted butter.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over both sides of the banana slices.
- Place the banana slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not overlap.
- Set the air fryer to 150 °C (300 °F) and cook for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Once golden brown and slightly crispy, remove from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack.
Notes
Store leftovers at room temperature for 1 day, refrigerated for 3-4 days, or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer for a couple of minutes before serving.
