A quick and zesty Lemon Chicken recipe that’s perfect for busy days, bursting with buttery garlic flavor and topped with Parmesan.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast with grated Parmesan cheese on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic, sauté for 1 minute.
- Add lemon juice and zest, stirring to combine.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top and warming through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, feel free to use boneless chicken thighs instead of breasts or substitute with lime juice if lemons are unavailable.
