Ingredients

  • 6 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1¼ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup sour cream


Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour for about 2 minutes to create a roux.
  4. Gradually add beef broth while whisking until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Slowly stir in milk and continue stirring until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Add garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  7. Reduce heat to low and combine cooked noodles and browned beef into the skillet. Stir gently.
  8. Stir in sour cream until well mixed. Serve hot.
