A quick and cozy ground beef stroganoff that’s ready in just 30 minutes, perfect for a satisfying meal without the effort.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces Egg Noodles
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- ¼ cup Butter
- ¼ cup Flour
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 ¼ cup Milk
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ¼ cup Sour Cream
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Melt the butter in the skillet over medium heat.
- Add the flour and whisk for about 2 minutes to create a roux.
- Gradually pour in the beef broth while whisking to prevent lumps. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in the milk and cook until the sauce is creamy and thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in the cooked noodles and browned ground beef. Combine thoroughly.
- Gently fold in the sour cream until fully absorbed. Serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or spinach. Can be made with ground turkey or chicken as a substitute.
