Description

A quick and cozy ground beef stroganoff that’s ready in just 30 minutes, perfect for a satisfying meal without the effort.


Ingredients

  • 6 ounces Egg Noodles
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 ¼ cup Milk
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream


Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Melt the butter in the skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the flour and whisk for about 2 minutes to create a roux.
  5. Gradually pour in the beef broth while whisking to prevent lumps. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  6. Stir in the milk and cook until the sauce is creamy and thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Reduce heat to low and stir in the cooked noodles and browned ground beef. Combine thoroughly.
  9. Gently fold in the sour cream until fully absorbed. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or spinach. Can be made with ground turkey or chicken as a substitute.
