Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 ounces egg noodles
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper


Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 6-8 minutes, breaking it up while it cooks. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour for about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add beef broth, whisking until it thickens (about 3-4 minutes).
  5. Whisk in milk until smooth (5-7 minutes).
  6. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked egg noodles and browned beef; mix to coat the noodles.
  8. Stir in the sour cream until incorporated.
