- 1 pound ground beef
- 6 ounces egg noodles
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- ½ cup sour cream
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 6-8 minutes, breaking it up while it cooks. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour for about 2 minutes.
- Gradually add beef broth, whisking until it thickens (about 3-4 minutes).
- Whisk in milk until smooth (5-7 minutes).
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked egg noodles and browned beef; mix to coat the noodles.
- Stir in the sour cream until incorporated.
- Serve hot with your desired sides.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the noodles and make sure to drain the fat from the beef for a cleaner dish.
