Description

A quick and comforting ground beef stroganoff ready in just 30 minutes, perfect for lazy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces Egg Noodles
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter and whisk in the flour for about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add the beef broth while whisking to avoid lumps, and cook until the sauce thickens (about 3-4 minutes).
  5. Add the milk gradually, stirring until the sauce thickens (5-7 minutes). Adjust with milk if too thick.
  6. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt.
  7. Reduce heat to low, then mix in the cooked noodles and ground beef until combined.
  8. Gently stir in sour cream until fully incorporated. Serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter version, replace half the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt. Be cautious not to boil after adding sour cream to avoid separation.
