Description

A quick and easy comfort food dish featuring creamy beef and egg noodles, perfect for busy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces Egg Noodles
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 ¼ cup Milk
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to boil and cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat, then whisk in flour to create a roux, stirring for about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the beef broth and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Slowly whisk in the milk and continue to stir until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  7. Reduce heat to low, add cooked egg noodles and ground beef, stirring until combined and heated through.
  8. Fold in sour cream until fully incorporated and serve hot.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or peas.
