A quick and creamy ground beef stroganoff that comes together in just 30 minutes, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces Egg Noodles
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- ¼ cup Butter
- ¼ cup Flour
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 ¼ cup Milk
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ¼ cup Sour Cream
Instructions
- Boil those noodles: Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to the package directions. Once they are tender and cooked through, drain and set aside for later use.
- Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 6 to 8 minutes. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
- Make the roux: In the same skillet, melt the butter, whisk in the flour, and cook for about 2 minutes until smooth.
- Whisk in the broth: Gradually add the beef broth, whisking constantly until the sauce thickens (about 3 to 4 minutes).
- Add the milk: Slowly whisk in the milk and continue stirring until the sauce thickens again (5 to 7 minutes).
- Season it up: Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt; mix well.
- Combine it all: Reduce heat to low, add cooked egg noodles and browned beef, mixing well to combine.
- Add the sour cream: Gently fold in the sour cream until fully incorporated.
- Serve it hot: Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
