Description

A vibrant and savory beef stir fry with tender strips of beef and crispy vegetables, enveloped in a rich sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef (flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain)
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas, carrots)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Add sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef, cooking until browned and cooked through, then remove from the pan.
  3. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil, along with the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the pan, stirring to combine, and cook for an additional minute to heat through.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

For best flavor, allow the beef to marinate for at least 10 minutes. Ensure not to overcrowd the pan while stir frying.
