Description
A vibrant and savory beef stir fry with tender strips of beef and crispy vegetables, enveloped in a rich sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef (flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain)
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas, carrots)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
- Cooked rice (for serving)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Add sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef, cooking until browned and cooked through, then remove from the pan.
- In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil, along with the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the pan, stirring to combine, and cook for an additional minute to heat through.
- Serve hot over cooked rice.
Notes
For best flavor, allow the beef to marinate for at least 10 minutes. Ensure not to overcrowd the pan while stir frying.
